Feeling Good with Fashion

When you look good, you tend to feel good. What are you wearing on a day to day? What do you wear that makes you feel good? I know for me when I wear dresses, jewelry and a little make up I feel pretty damn good, even if my hair isn’t professionally done.

Let’s talk about fashion. What is fashion? According to Merriam Webster, fashion is the prevailing style (as in dress) during a particular time. A prevailing custom, usage, or style. Fashion can also be defined as a popular trend, especially in styles of dress and ornament or manners of behavior. What does what you wear say about you? Does what you wear make a fashion statement? Does everything you wear make a fashion statement? Are you in tune with the latest fashions? Who sets the trends for the latest fashions & how are they created? A fashion trend occurs when others mimic or emulate this clothing style. Today, a fashion trend starts with fashion designers, who design a spring and fall collection based on cues and inspiration they’ve gathered throughout the season with where their creativeness leads them.

So what are you going to do about your look? Will you keep it pretty much the same or will you spice it up a bit or tone it down? I say spice it up. Spice it up just sounds fun. Imagine what it could look like. I want to encourage you to make sure you look good everyday you walk out that door, even if you stay in for the day. Take a video so someone can see that light that shines so bright. Stay ready so you don’t have to take unnecessary time to get ready. Take time to look up the latest trends. Add more to it & feel freaking awesome about it. Make up your own style. Dare to be different & make it happen. Let others follow what you put out there. Make a difference & let us see it. Thriving Amongst the Conniving

Living in a world so cold amongst people who are so bold. We’re told to follow certain things such as a certain religion, certain education, etc. How are we to thrive when most don’t even feel alive? What does it mean to thrive & how do we focus on it, especially when people aren’t so nice. So many people are hurting, sad, depressed, stressed and frustrated with life. Their energy affects everyone around them which causes others to be corrupted by it. How do we fix this? How do we help others thrive in this society. It’s all about energy and it’s all about positive energy especially. We have to practice positivity. It is a must. Without it we are doomed. So now you ask, well how do we practice positivity?

First it starts in our mind and environment. What are we telling ourselves? Are we saying negative things to ourselves? What are we allowing others to say to us and what are we allowing them to do around us? Are we allowing others to say negative things to us? We must take more control of what thoughts we are allowing in our head and what we’re saying out of our mouth. Second, I suggest meditating on your wants and desires. This has helped a tremendous amount of people and is known to really work. Meditation has been celebrated as a therapeutic tool to help ease stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and chronic pain. You can find it in classrooms, businesses, locker rooms and smartphones through apps such as Headspace and Calm. In particular, mindfulness meditation, which focuses one’s attention on the present moment, is wildly popular and has ballooned into a billion-dollar business, according to the market research firm IBISWorld. Third, you will have to take a deep hard look at your environment and assure it is conducive to what you want for your life. Are the people around you practicing positivity? Is your environment negative or positive? What are some of the things you’re listening to? All of these things play a part in how to Thrive. Once you answer these questions, you will discover what type of environment you are placing yourself in. Then you will notice what changes need to be made.
